1st SWE Meeting of the Year by Summer Saiedi

Hello Ladies and Gents!
Our first official meeting will take place on Friday September 6 at 2pm in HOH100. There will be pizza, soda, and a cookie cake! We will be discussing everything there is to know about Society of Women Engineers, benefits of joining our group and our goals for the school year. Please log onto orgsync.com to join SWE and RSVP to the meeting so we can have a head count of everyone who plans to attend.

The memberships dues are $20 for the entire school year. This will include the SWE T-shirt, food for the meetings and it will pay for the SWE outings we will have throughout the year. We will be taking cash/check, just FYI!
Please come and if you like what you see JOIN US! Its going to be a super fun year! Im uber psyched about what we can accomplish in the 2013-2014 school year.
Thanks again,

Summer Saiedi

Get LEIED by an Engineer! SWE at Stampede Week by Summer Saiedi

Hello ALL!

The Organizational Fair was a great opportunity for SWE to speak with people, regardless of their major, about how awesome the Society of Women Engineers is going to be this school year. We gave out leis, cool foam fingers, and business cards. Plus we got a page and half of emails! HECKS YEA!

In addition, Zheila and I spoke with many other organizations such as Centre for Global Competency, UCO Wellness Center, Career Services, Students Alliance For Equality (SAFE), American Democracy Project, UCO Skeptics, Volunteer and Service Learning Center, Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA), Multicultural Women's Association and many more! I cant wait to show UCO that engineers can become involved in student activities just like everyone else on campus.

Thanks to Jessica Webb and Jennie Allen for manning the fort for a few hours.  SPECIAL THANKS to Camille Killbourne for stopping by ;) We miss you lady!

 Future Engineer!
