1/29/16 Meeting Minutes

Hello everyone!

Here are the minutes from our January meeting in case you missed it!

Currently, we are connected to the Oklahoma City chapter of SWE, but we are hoping to change that very soon as we now have an official SWE sponsor!

Here is information about some of the upcoming events this semester:
Lunch Bar!
As always, our Sandwich Bar every Wednesday is the biggest way we fundraise every semester.We had a lot of people sign up to volunteer and donate (thank you everyone!!!), but we are still needing donations for meat, sides, and dessert.  If you are interested in helping please email sweatuco@gmail.com.

T-Shirts
Our t-shirt/hoodie design last fall was a big hit and we are planning on selling v-neck t-shirts of the same design soon!  They will be $15.

Resume Workshop
The next UCO career fair is coming up soon, so we are planning on having a workshop in the next few weeks to get everyone ready to put their best foot, er, resume forward!

SWE Conferences
Regional Conference:  Feb 26-27, Colorado
National Conference:  Oct 27-29, Pennsylvania

Upcoming Meetings

The next OKC Chapter meeting is February 23rd, 5:30pm at the Level Clubhouse in Downtown OKC, they will have a presenter from Dale Carnegie to talk about how to sell yourself and your resume to employers and coworkers.

UCO's next meeting is tentatively scheduled for Friday, February 26th at 2:00pm.

SPRING 2016 UPDATES

HAPPY 2016!!!
Hope you had a nice loooong winter break. Alas, its back to work being awesome! The first SWE Bar of Spring 2016 will be this Wednesday Jan. 20th. We would really appreciate if you guys could donate a few things such as:

bowls, plates, forks, pop, meat (3), cheese (3), bread, and a dessert (preferably homemade)

Let us know if you can donate any of these items. The less we spend, the more we have for the SWE Conference 2016!

Also if you are interested here is a cool lil thing that SWE OKC is doing this Friday January 22nd: 

January Meeting - Wineology 101

Join SWE OKC for the January Meeting to learn about the wine making and bottling process. This event will include learning the process from grape to glass and bottling your own bottle of fruit wine. What better way to learn about wine than with SWE and tasting a glass of wine?* This experience will be held at Waters Edge Winery and will be discounted to $12 for members, $22 for members and one guest, and $16 for nonmembers.

Everyone will leave with knowledge of wine making and a bottle of fruit wine.

*Must be 21 years or older to enjoy wine tasting

When: Friday, January 22, 2015 at 5:30 PM
Where: Waters Edge Winery @ 712 N Broadway Ave, Oklahoma City
Cost: $12.00 for Members, $22.00 for Member & 1 Guest, $16.00 for non-member
