The first SWE meeting of the year will happen Wednesday September 17 @ 2:30pm in room HOH101. Anyone can attend this meeting. Yes, there will be pizza and drinks to help starving college students ;)
We will also be holding officer elections for 2014-2015 school year. It will be nice to have some fresh ideas come through so yes, I encourage you to run for an office. Let me tell ya, it looks great on a resume! Here positions that are open:
- President: The President is the face of SWE. He or she will work with other SWE officers to organize events, participate in campus activities, fundraising, as well as arranging meetings for SWE officers and members.
- Vice President: The VP is the right hand man of the President! You will collaborate with the President to allocate duties for events, direct as well as organize fundraisers. Overall, the VP will aid the President in any way, shape or form.
- Treasurer: Duties include fundraising as well as making a weekly deposit from the monies made. One must deposit the money in the A account and withdrawal money with an advisor in order to purchase anything.
- Secretary: As the secretary, you are responsible for keeping minutes of all the meetings in an organized manner. You are also accountable for making and hanging up signs for meetings, events, fundraisers etc. Sign in sheets for various events and meeting attendance should also be made and kept record of.
- Senator: The senator is required to attend the Senate Meetings as well as act as a liaison between other clubs in Howell Hall.
